General Hospital 01-21-21 Recap 21st January 2021

Ava wanted to know if Carly was okay with her telling Avery how Sonny was with people who care about him. Carly understood and said she would have said the same thing. Ava offered her condolences. Carly thought it would be better since Avery would be back in her room. Ava explained to her how the custody agreement was with Sonny. She said she was the primary parent now and wanted her to stay with her. The man who rescued Sonny wanted to take him to the hospital. He thought turning on the heat would help improve his memory. He thought about checking Sonny’s wallet, but he didn’t have one. He said he felt like his life began when he got off the ground. 

Carly was surprised that Ava would make a custody power play now. She told her how Avery spent her entire life there. Ava said it wasn’t a power play. She reminded her how she’s Avery’s mother. She told Carly that Avery would be safer at Wyndemere than at the compound. Carly asked Nikolas if he knew she planned on taking Avery. He said there was nothing in the custody agreement that said stepparents had legal rights. Jordan told TJ how he was sick of Jordan’s lies. TJ said his mother lied to him before. He recapped about the lies Jordan told. He said that Molly slept with another man because of his mother’s lies. Jax checked on Trina and asked her if she saw her father. She talked to him about how she was upset with him for lying about being dead. He tried to justify what Taggert did. He told her how she was able to get another chance with her father unlike Sonny’s children. 

Sonny had a feeling he was missing something. The man told him that he would get him help as soon as he could. He started speeding when the police started following him. A police officer demanded to see the guy’s license and registration. He tried to explain how he had to get Sonny to the hospital, but the cop didn’t want to hear it. Curtis understood why TJ was upset to find out Brando slept with Molly. TJ said Molly took full responsibility for what she did. He felt that Molly wouldn’t have slept with Brando if it weren’t for Jordan. Molly showed up at the hospital and saw what happened to Bradno. She asked him if he hurt TJ. Portia said it was the other way around. Brando didn’t like being blindsided like that. He felt he should have told the truth in the first place.

Carly and Nikolas ended up arguing over Ava taking Avery. He told her that he wasn’t going to let her raise another child that wasn’t hers. He reminded her how she passed Spencer off as Jax’s son. She said she only told that lie for two months, but she didn’t let him think he was orphaned. He told her how they were both married to Avery’s parents. She didn’t like how they weren’t going to honor Sonny’s wishes. He said they would keep them in mind, but wouldn’t be ruled by them. The cop wanted to know if he knew Sonny. The guy said that he was trying to take Sonny to the hospital. Sonny was okay and said they could step outside. Ava saw Trina and they talked about Taggert being alive. Trina couldn’t believe her father lied to her. Ava explained how hard it would have been to keep up the lie. Molly agreed that she and Brando should have told the truth. He thought TJ was a good guy and lost him as a friend. He told her that he could have used a friend. TJ and Curtis saw them so Molly went to them. They talked in another room. She admitted she was the reason why Brando didn’t tell the truth.

Carly told Jax how Ava wanted to take Avery live with her. She was upset because Avery wasn’t there much. She said Avery lost her father and was going to lose her home. The cop wanted to know how Sonny got lost. Sonny didn’t know how he got there and asked the officer to tell him where he was. The cop found it hard to believe Sonny couldn’t remember how he was lost in the woods. Sonny told him how he hit his head and didn’t have his wallet. He thanked Eddie for helping him. He said it was his fault he was speeding. The police officer wanted to take them to the emergency room. Josslyn thanked Trina for staying with her. She said she was there for her when she thought her father was dead. Josslyn reminded her how Sonny wasn’t her father. She said how she gave him a hard time at points. She told Trina how much she missed Sonny.

It was hard for Carly to say goodbye to Avery. She assured her that she would keep her room the same and how it would always be her home. She told her she could visit any time she wanted. Ava and Nikolas took Avery with them. Carly told Jax losing Avery made her realize that she lost Sonny. TJ didn’t like the fact that Molly told Brando not to say anything. She told him how she didn’t think they were together anymore and didn’t consider it cheating at first. She said it was hard watching them get close to each other.
