Former General Hospital Star Discusses Her Departure From Soap

As fans know, Vinessa Antoine (ex-Jordan) left General Hospital to join the show Diggstown. She left the role in 2018. She decided to have an interview about her sudden departure from the soap opera. The reason behind her leaving the show is surprising.

Antoine decided that she wanted to return to Canada to film the show Diggstown. She was surprised that the powers that be at General Hospital decided to recast her with Briana Nicole Henry. She had expected to stay with General Hospital. That’s right, fans. The actress wanted to stay with the show. She said that the primetime show was only picked up for six episodes at the time she decided to take the role.

According to Antoine, she wanted to take a little break from the soap opera the way other actors do and remain on the show. She thought that her character could be briefly written out of the show for the summer while she filmed the series.

Unfortunately, she didn’t have a say in what happened to her character. She felt that the soap missed a great opportunity by recasting her before Jordan and Curtis’ wedding. She wanted the fans to get a chance to see her character marry Curtis.
